Matthew 6:9-13 (King James Version) After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.  Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread.  And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

I Timothy 2:8 I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

Acts 6:4 But we will give ourselves continueally to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.

James 5:15  And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raiseh im up; and if he hath committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

These are just a few of the MANY MANY Biblical references for prayer!  This journal entry will begin the study of prayer; the foundational understanding and application of prayer; and the life-sustaining POWER of prayer thru His Holy Spirit, in His name.

    Prayer Needs
Please keep these people in your thoughts and prayers as you go thru your day….some people I’ll call by name, others I won’t. For acceptance of salvation thru Jesus Christ let’s pray for everyone we know of who is NOT a christian! Our mission as believers in His Church is to diligently pray for the lost!!!! so we pray now for those people (call them by name in your prayer) to hear the Word of God and the GOOD NEWS of salvation and to believe repent confess and ACCEPT the forgiveness of our savior Jesus Christ! We pray for them to have very real and very profound experiences as their eyes and ears are opened to His Truth and mercy and LOVE. We pray for their healing and their encouragement to continue in His Way. We thank God for answering our prayers, and hold hope in our hearts in place of doubt.
We pray for our soldiers and all of their needs! We pray for them to come home!!! We pray for them to lean on His mercy when the mental battles wage on long after the fight has ended….we pray for their wives and their children and their families to be strong and patient. We pray for the sick now….some are sick and also need salvation urgently….doctors say ‘terminal’ illness but christians know without Jesus ‘terminal’ has an entirely different meaning so if we know someone who has been diagnosed with a terminal ailment and they are also without Christ then let’s really unite in our thoughts and prayers for them!! God knows who they are….

Specifically right now (from news study) let us pray for the floods to recede in England and for the people to be safe. prayer for them to accept their losses and to remember that stuff is just stuff,, ultimately. prayer for our leaders. prayer for walterboro as they witness gang violence and fear. prayer for protection over our loved ones.

    Praise Report!
Thankfully my daughters husband Derek is home safely from afghanistan! He came home just before New Years so Sky had the BEST new years celebration!! I am so grateful to God for the protection of Derek and all the other soldiers who are back home! We continue to lift the rest of them up and ask God to not only keep them safe but to reach the hearts of any who are not saved and who are afraid right now….we know that many will die, and that many will be hurt, and our hope is ultimately that they will be with Jesus when they are no longer here with us….
Our continued prayers for people we know who are very sick, lost, confused, discouraged….
Our never ending prayers for all the believers to stay strong, focused, dedicated, and hopeful!
World events right now/people in distress-UK-they are dealing with unbelievable winter weather-middle east as always torn apart by violence and hate-America, as they continue in this struggle of political arrogance and illusion-Brazilians who have lost loved ones in the mudslide….the families of everyone who have lost loved ones….and let’s not forget the creatures here on earth who are also suffering right now as nature’s normalcy is turned upside down….all creation groans with anticipation….
    His Peace, ~M
