It is not that He has set some bar (standard) so high and relishes in our futile attempts to attain. I think it is that He knows what is best, and what is good, and what is Right. He gave us Jesus-THE PERFECT ALL IN ALL-and everything apart from this is not going to be good for us. Period. So if we struggle with sadness anger fear resentment bitterness wrath....it is not within us to fix it or ourselves...it is HIS POWER and He gives of Himself FREELY. It goes with our freedom to CHOOSE....so if we choose to walk upright....to obey His commandments....to love Him to love our neighbor....to do unto others as we would have them do unto us....to seek HIM FIRST...then all these good things will be added unto us and the bad stuff (mostly that we choose to keep for ourselves for all the wrong reasons) will fall away. forgiveness.....
